Lamezia Terme is a city and comune in Calabria.
The 4th largest city in Calabria, Lamezia Terme has a history that can be traced back all the way back to ancient times. Lamezia Terme was created in 1968 by merging the former cities Nicastro, Sambiase, and Sant'Eufemia Lamezia into a single city. Despite being merged, each former city is treated as its own distinct area within the city. There are also multiple rural villages on the outskirts.
Many parts of Lamezia (especially the more rural areas) are very difficult to get around without a car.

A spa that's also one of the oldest family businesses in the world. The accompanying hot springs are free to enter, and very popular because of its reputed health benefits, but there's a strong smell of sulfur that'll leave you smelling like eggs, well after you dry off. €7,50-29,50.
